Hawaiʻi Pathologists’ Laboratory (HPL) is one of the leading providers of pathology services in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Basin. Since 1965, we have provided high-quality diagnostic pathology services to physicians, hospitals, healthcare organizations, and patients throughout our community and continue to do so today.

HPL is a locally owned, physician-led pathology group composed entirely of board-certified pathologists dedicated to supporting clinical decision-making and improving patient care across the region.

Our pathologists serve as teaching faculty for the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine and actively participate in the education of medical students, residents, and future pathologists.

HPL physicians also serve as Program Directors and educators for the University of Hawaiʻi Pathology Residency Program.

HPL physicians maintain an active presence throughout Hawaiʻi’s healthcare community through leadership, education, and service.

Our pathologists serve on professional boards, provide medical directorship for community hospitals and rural laboratories, support community service initiatives, and participate in numerous medical societies and professional organizations throughout Hawaiʻi and the Pacific region.
