Urologic pathology focuses on the examination of tissue specimens from the male genitourinary system and urinary tract, including the prostate, bladder, kidney, ureters, testes, and penis. Our pathologists have sub-specialty expertise in the diagnosis of urologic cancers such as prostate adenocarcinoma, urothelial carcinoma, and renal cell carcinoma, among other benign and malignant conditions.

We incorporate ancillary studies such as immunohistochemistry and molecular testing when needed to refine diagnoses to distinguish between morphologically similar entities and identify clinically significant biomarkers. For bladder cancers, we offer UroVysion testing to determine chromosomal abnormalities.

By working closely with urologists, oncologists, and multidisciplinary care teams, we support accurate disease characterization, prognostic assessment, and personalized treatment strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
